I2c IIC interface LCD Display

Using this I2C Display Controller / Converter Board module, a large number of pins is needed to control this LCD screen (4 data pins on 4-bit mode / 8-pin data on 8-bit mode + 1 RS pin + Optional 1 pin for R/W + 1 Enable pin, outside the pin to control the backlight). In microcontrollers / development boards with limited number of pins (such as on Arduino Uno), this is a problem because the available pins are widely used for display so that in large numbers of modules (various types of sensors) the available pins are already available. Fortunately, this I2C converter board is available which only uses 2 pins (on Arduino Uno, just connect it to A4/SDA and A5/SCL pins other than the +5V and ground / GND supply). The contrast level can be adjusted by rotating the potentiometer (blue electronic component). Turn clockwise to increase contrast, turn it in the opposite direction to reduce contrast.
