Organic Quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is a mixture of ancient grains and is a superfood that contains more nutritional benefits and essential amino acids than any other grain. It has a light, fluffy texture and slightly nutty flavour when cooked and is quite versatile to use to any meals and recipes.

Quinoa is a good substitute for rice in recipes, and is often used in soups, salads, stews, and casseroles.

To Prepare: Wash several times in cold water, rinse, and add 1 cup quinoa to 1 1/4 cups of boiling water. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes, and fluff. Serves 4.
