Aberlour 12 Year Old is a Single Malt Double Cask, that is to say, a whisky that has been aged twice.
Firstly, this whiskey Aberlour version was aged in Bourbon casks for 11 years, before being matured in ex-Sherry casks for the final year of its aging. The Single Malt is then bottled unfiltered to preserve its flavors intact. 
This Aberlour highland single malt aging gives the whisky its deep character and well-balanced taste. The Single malt Aberlour are also a few notes of Sherry that punctuate the tasting. Aberlour 12 non chill filtered.
